About Us
Our Story
We are a mother-daughter team of Anita and Rachel Bacchi and are the proud owners of Blingy Wreath Designz.
Our background is varied. We previously worked in the property management, hospitality, computer software, and customer service industries before finding our passion for the wreath and home decor design. We are initially from Connecticut but currently live in sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the past 18 years.
A Newfound Passion
We discovered our passion for creating and designing when we built our new house and couldn’t find any home decor we liked for the price we wanted to pay. So we decided to make our own. From that, we had people asking, where did you get that? Which of course leads to can you make one for me? At that moment, we realized that this was what we wanted to do.
Since 2020 we have made wreaths for our personal use and occasionally sold them to friends and family.
Starting The Business
Of course, we all know that about then the pandemic hit. Rachel was then laid off, so this was the perfect time to get the ball rolling. After all, our biggest issue was we had ordered and had no time to fill them after working 8 to 10 hours at our regular jobs. No more 3 am nights. We had already outgrown the house’s spare room, so we added an AC unit to the garage and turned the garage into our design studio.
In 2021, we decided to get serious about our hobby and turn it into a business. Anita then decided she would retire from her 9 to 5 job to dedicate herself to the business full time to help Rachel. So we began living our dream, bringing glitter into people’s lives, one Blingy Wreath at a time.
Staying On Top Of Trends
Home decor design involves education as well. We belong to several coaching groups and business forums which allows us to learn from some of the top designers and keep up with all the current trends. We hope to design wreaths and decor that make our customers’ homes feel like they are living on a magazine cover. (You know the ones that everybody buys but and says someday I’m going to do that and never does.) We help provide that and have developed items in multiple price points to fit every budget for each season!
